I became interested in writing for this site due to my strong interest in history and politics, which started around 6th grade and has grown tremendously since. Due to my strong interest, I have a strong want to share what I know with others and take in the wealth of knowledge that they may have. I have read articles from this site for sometime now and this site seems like a great place for that.
I am currently entering my senior year at the University Of Buffalo with a focus in history, African American studies, and now Russian. I would ideally like to eventually go to grad school to get a PHD either in Russian history with a concentration on the Soviet Union or general socialist/working class history. That all really depends on what program best suits my situation in the future. I hope to someday teach at the college level. My areas of interest when it comes to history and politics revolve around Communist/Socialist History with an emphasis on the Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela, and US labor movements, African American History, and general 20th century history.
Politically, I would say I lean mostly towards Marxist Leninism but don’t believe in being dogmatic and can’t say I agree with everything associated with it. However, it more accurately labels me than other political labels right now.
